Christy Hajjar

MS Community Counseling, Functional Family Therapist
Evolution Counseling Services, LLC.

Christy received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Mount Aloysius College. Christy desires to utilize her education, experience, and skill set to help families stay strongly united and gain necessary skills that enable them to function successfully within their own family units. She believes FFT not only enables these things but also provides families with lifelong skills to enhance their relationships and overall living skills.

Christy joined Evolution as an FFT Therapist in 2020, after spending the majority of her career working and helping children, youth, and families involved with the foster care system. Her last position in that field was assisting with the initiation and supervision of a family visiting and parenting program through The Bair Foundation (TBF). TBF is where she credits the development and strengthening of her professional helping skills and standards, the value of focusing on families first, and the importance of treating those around her with kindness and mercy. Evolution continues to nurture each of these areas.

Christy enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years and adult daughter and son, as well as other close family members and friends. Their time is spent outdoors, vacationing, riding motorcycles, and attending concerts, festivals, and sporting events. Christy has coached Varsity Girls’ Basketball for 25 years, as well as being involved with travel AAU basketball for many of those years.

“Work hard, play hard” has always been a motto Christy has lived by and she believes that working to serve the needs of others is the greatest motivation possible. Christy is currently working toward obtaining her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credentialing.
