Dennisha received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work in December 2021. She also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State Altoona in 2018. Dennisha will work towards her next goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Someday, Dennisha plans to open her own private practice for clinical mental health therapy. Dennisha is extremely passionate about mental health and social justice advocacy. Dennisha has experience working with at-risk youth, families, and children diagnosed with autism. Dennisha believes in advocating for others, which has led her to a career in social work. Dennisha has also overcome several traumas throughout her life and knew from a young age that she wanted to help others turn their trauma into triumph as well. Dennisha draws inspiration from those around her - friends, family members, co-workers, and clients. Dennisha works adamantly to better her own life, as well as those around her. In her downtime, Dennisha loves to work out, hang out with loved ones, and have relaxing days at home binge-watching her favorite TV shows. One of Dennisha’s favorite quotes to live by is “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you make of it.”
